With the device and the method, the influence of preferential flow to the whole soil infiltration process can be observed, so that basis is provided for further studying the infiltration process of soil moisture in a ring can be provided, and effective basis is provided for analyzing the accuracy of measuring results of the ring-type infiltration instrument and providing an improved device for eliminating the influence of the preferential flow.
