Abstract

The device comprises a fixed frame and a pulley connected below the fixed frame, the fixed frame is fixed to a cross arm, a pole end of the cross arm is connected with a worm and gear device, the worm and gear device drives the pulley to move along the fixed frame through a sheaves and lifting insulation ropes, the front end of the pulley is lifted upwardly obliquely through the sheaves and the lifting insulation ropes to drag an insulator string so as to enable connection load between the upper end of the insulator string and the cross arm to be transferred onto a clamping plate of the pulley, and connection load between the lower end of the insulator string and a wire is transferred onto the fixed frame through hooks and a pulley component, thereby convenience and quickness in demounting of the insulator string are achieved. The invention further discloses a method of using the device for replacing the linear single-string insulators. By means of cooperation of a pole operator and a ground operator, the insulators are replaced by indirect operations of the operators adopting ground potential, replacement operations of the insulator strings are all completed at the pole end and away from the insulator strings, and accordingly safety and high efficiency are achieved.
