The invention provides an automatic authentication apparatus for network access. The automatic authentication apparatus comprises a data sending unit and a network access unit. The data sending unit is used for sending an authentication request to an authentication server when sensing network connection existence, transmitting a preset user name and a preset password to the authentication server, so that the authentication server can carry out authentication on the preset user name and the preset password. The network access unit is used for receiving an authentication response from the authentication server and determining whether the authentication is done successfully; if so, a network access parameter is set according to the authentication response and the network is connected; and if not, prompting information is displayed.
