Abstract

The invention provides a southward propagation generation-adding breeding method for flattop ridge twin-row high density plantation of tobaccos. The method comprises the following steps of ridging the tobaccos to be a flattop ridge, wherein the width of the top of the ridge is 80cm, and the distance of two adjacent ridge furrow center lines is 140cm; planting the tobaccos in twin rows on each ridge body, wherein the line spacing in each ridge is 50cm, and 2100 plants are planted per mu. One or more breeding materials can be provided for each ridge body. According to the method, the pure nitrogen quantity applied to per mu is required to be increased by 40 percent compared with pure nitrogen applied to per mu in a southward propagation conventional planting way, the fertilization for a single plant does not exceed 120 plants, and the number of capsules harvested by the single plant does not exceed 100. By adopting the method, the seed quality can be ensured, the aim of southward propagation generation-adding is achieved, the planting and breeding material number of a unit area land can be increased, the southward propagation leasing area is reduced, and the cost is reduced. The method is applicable to southward propagation of the tobaccos such as flue-cured tobaccos, burley tobaccos and maryland tobaccos.
