The present invention provides a computerized method and system for measuring a user's vital capacity and stamina to detect chronic heart failure, COPD or asthma, said method and system comprising: providing a client application on a user's mobile communication device, said The client application includes executable computer code for: instructing the user to fill his lungs with air and vocalize in a range of volumes (decibels) when exhaling; to receive and record the user's voice; stop the recording of the voice; measure the length of the voice receiving time in the volume range, the time is proportional to the lung capacity of the user; and display the sound receiving time length result on the mobile communication device on the screen.
