Embodiment Construction

[0055] In order to better understand the technical solutions of the present invention, the implementation manners of the present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Principle of the present invention and flow chart are as figure 1 Shown, the specific implementation details of the present invention are as follows:

[0056] Step 1: Construct the image initial sharpness distribution map OFM according to the image gradient i (x,y).

[0057] The gradient feature of the image can well represent the sharpness of the image. For a certain area in the grayscale image, the grayscale change of the focused area is more severe than that of the defocused area. The grayscale change is reflected in the gradient feature, so the gradient feature of the image can be used to characterize the sharpness of the image. Ideally, the gradient at each pixel location in the in-focus region of each source image is larger than the gradient at the corr...

Abstract

The invention provides a multi-focus image fusion method using morphology and a free boundary condition active contour model. The method comprises the following steps: (1), constructing an initial definition distribution diagram of an image by using a gradient feature; (2), carrying out calculation by using the initial definition distribution diagram to obtain a rough definition distribution diagram ad then determining a final definition distribution diagram; (3), carrying out processing on the final definition distribution diagram based on small-area removing operation of the morphology and open-close operation of the morphology to obtain an initial fusion decision image; (4), extracting a boundary, serving as an initial value of a free boundary condition active contour model, between a focusing area and an out-of-focus area from the initial fusion decision image; (5), obtaining a boundary image based on the free boundary condition active contour model and obtaining a final fusion decision image according to the boundary image and the initial fusion decision image; and (6), on the basis of a decision image of multi-focus image fusion and a set fusion rule, generating a final fusion image with all clear parts. THE method can be widely applied to various image processing application systems.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a multi-focus image fusion method using morphology and free boundary condition active contour model, belongs to the field of digital image processing, and mainly relates to mathematical morphology and image fusion technology. Image fusion can effectively improve the utilization rate of image information and lay a good foundation for image understanding and analysis. Therefore, multi-focus image fusion has broad application prospects in various image-based application systems. Background technique [0002] Multi-focus image fusion is an important technique to obtain a composite image in which all objects are in focus. Due to the limited focus range of the camera lens, it is difficult to keep all objects in the lens in focus. Therefore, multi-focus fusion technology is required to clearly present objects at different distances in the same scene in one image, so that image information can be used more effectively. This is of gr...
