The method comprises the steps that a first touch operation given by a user on the touch display unit corresponding to the first timer in the timers is acquired; a first control instruction corresponding to the first touch operation is generated; according to the first control instruction, a first control operation is performed on the first timer, and a second control operation different from the first control operation is performed on other timers except the first timer. The device comprises a first acquisition module, a first generation module and a first control module. According to the method and device for controlling the timers, the timers can be controlled to perform the different operations according to the first control instruction, therefore, the fact that the timers are controlled to perform the different operations through one touch operation can be achieved, and the timing efficiency is improved.
