Abstract

The invention discloses a linear adjustable-pressure patellar external fixator (in two styles). The fixator (in style A) comprises a single unit and further comprises parts, such as a linear main beam, pressure-adjusting fixing members, a pressure-adjusting nut, an arc auxiliary beam, an auxiliary fixing member, a fixing pin, a fastening nut, and a set screw. In the fixator (in style B, see the specification), two ends of a linear main beam (1) are provided with pressure-adjusting fixing members (2), and an arc auxiliary beam (4), an auxiliary fixing member (5) and a fixing pin (6) are provided below the linear main beam. During using, a surgeon may set the fixator first according to movements of a patellar fracture of a patient; the common patellar fracture can be directly fixed without a surgery; if a comminuted patellar fracture is severe or a surgery is required, fixing may be performed after the surgery; the fixator is convenient and stable to set, is adjustable in a wide range, needs minimal invasion and frees pain caused by secondary surgery for the patient.
