Abstract

The present invention pertains to a toothbrush (1) wherein two or more bristle tufts obtained by bundling two or more bristles together are implanted in an implantation area (20) of a head part (2). The toothbrush is provided with: a first group of bristle tufts (30) formed by implanting first bristle tufts (32) having bristles with branched tip sections; and a second group of bristle tufts (40) obtained by implanting second bristle tufts (42) provided with bristles not having branched tip sections, said second group of bristle tufts (40) surrounding the first group of bristle tufts (30). The second bristle tufts (42) are preferably provided with bristles having a diameter that decreases towards the tip, and the second bristle tufts (42) are preferably longer than the first bristle tufts (32). The present invention provides a toothbrush that enables the oral cavity to be cleaned well, while applying a sufficient amount of an oral preparation to be applied to areas between teeth and to the necks of teeth.
