Abstract

The invention discloses a mobile terminal and a performance adjustment method of a processor of the mobile terminal. The processor can work in a power saving mode, a balance mode and a performance mode; when working in different modes, the processor corresponds to different dominant frequencies; the dominant frequency of the power saving mode is less than the dominant frequency of the balance mode; and the dominant frequency of the balance mode is less than the dominant frequency of the performance mode. According to the performance adjustment method, the current state of the mobile terminal is detected to ensure that the processor works in the performance mode when the mobile terminal is in a first state, the processor works in the power saving mode when the mobile terminal is in a third state and the processor works in the balance mode when the mobile terminal is in a second state; and the second state is another state different from the first state and the third state. Through the manner, working mode of the processor can be automatically adjusted by the mobile terminal according to different running states, so that the potential of the processor is released preferably and the user experience is improved.
