Embodiment Construction

[0033] In order to make the objectives, technical solutions, and advantages of the present invention clearer, the following further describes the present invention in detail with reference to specific embodiments.

[0034] In this embodiment, taking the current mainstream MW-class wind turbine blades as an example, the following steps are adopted to perform on-site blade monitoring:

[0035] 1) Determine where the blade structure is vulnerable to damage.

[0036] Based on the blade strength and fatigue calculation report, and the structure test report of the full-size blade, the 10 weakest structural positions were selected.

[0037] 2) Install and paste strain gauges at the determined weak positions. In view of the harsh operating environment of wind turbine blades, install the strain gauges inside the blades and connect them to the outside through cables;

[0038] 3) After hanging up the blade, install a data acquisition instrument for strain measurement at the hub of the blade. One e...

Abstract

The invention discloses an on-site damage monitoring and recognition method for a wind turbine blade. Aiming at the on-site operation conditions of the wind turbine blade, the method carries out the on-line monitoring and recognition of the defects of the wind turbine blade. The objective of the invention lies in providing the on-site monitoring technology, and the method achieves the timely discovering and recognition of the cracks which are possibly caused by internal and external factors when the blade is in operation. The method is characterized in that a damage part, a peripheral local region and the mechanical properties will change to some extent before and after the damage happens when a blade structure generates cracks because of external environment factors and a structural factor, thereby enabling the proportional relation between a structural strain level of the damage part and peripheral local region and a wind load to change to some extent. Therefore, the method achieves the recognition of the damage condition of the blade through the on-line monitoring of the relation between the strain of a weak part of the blade structure and the wind load.

Description

Technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of wind power generation in the mechanical industry, in particular to a method for monitoring and identifying on-site damage of wind turbine blades. Background technique [0002] The damage of wind power blades is an important aspect of wind power blade operation. In the design of wind power blades, wind power blades are generally required to have a service life of 20 years. However, in actual field operation, the operating characteristics of wind turbines under unsteady loads make them prone to damage, which seriously affects the reliability and service life of the safe operation of wind turbines. Once the blade is partially damaged, it may extend to the damage of the overall blade. If it is not handled in time, it may even affect the safety of the entire unit. On the contrary, if minor damage occurs in the part of the blade, it can be found in time and the damaged part can be treated in time, which can not on...
