The invention discloses a power grid loop-closing control method which comprises the following main steps: drawing a simplified equivalent circuit according to a power grid loop-closing network; acquiring the equivalent impedance in the loop-closing ring network and the loads on buses on the two sides of a tie line; working out the complex power flowing to the tie line buses according to the characteristics of the ring network; subtracting the load flowing out of the bus on one side of the tie line from the complex power flowing to the bus to get circular complex power; calculating the loop-closing steady-state current and loop-closing impact current based on the circular complex power; and comparing the loop-closing steady-state current with the maximum allowable work current of the tie line and comparing the loop-closing impact current with the over-current quick-break protection trigger current, and judging whether loop-closing operation can be performed.
