Problems solved by technology

[0003] Currently, very few radiology QA systems exist, and those that do either do not use contextual awareness of clinical problems in their QA solutions, or only limitedly embed awareness of the context of clinical problems into their QA solutions middle
Furthermore, these QA systems are not adapted to the specific situation of the patient, often hampering the quality of the treatments applied

Abstract

A method generates images based on context-aware imaging. The method includes acquiring a first image of a patient using first image acquisition parameters. The method includes determining, within the first image, an area as a function of first data associated with the patient. The method includes determining modification data as a function of at least one of (a) second data corresponding to the determined area and (b) the first data. The method includes determining second image acquisition parameters as a function of the modification data and the first image acquisition parameters. The method includes acquiring a second image of the patient using the second image acquisition parameters.

Description

Background technique [0001] In the multithreading of medical workflows, variability exists between physicians and health care organizations, for example, variability in: (a) quality of order entry (e.g., content, level of detail, terminology, etc.); (b) image acquisition (eg, imaging protocol); and (c) radiologist interpretation and reporting. Therefore, a comprehensive and intelligent quality assurance (QA) system to quantify the above variations and to link physician interpretation to final diagnosis (eg pathological correlation) would be beneficial. [0002] An extension to a QA system that includes context-aware clinical questions that are intended to be answered for a particular imaging study would be extremely beneficial. Such tools can help, for example: identify portions of current radiology workflows that could benefit from increased efficiency; enable pay for performance; rationalize QA certification / accreditation / audits; and reduce variability across physicians and...
