Abstract

The invention provides a monitoring method and system based on an IEC 104 protocol. The method comprises following steps of building TCP connection of a master station, a slave station and a monitoring system; judging message types, wherein the message types comprise uplink messages and downlink messages; if the messages are uplink messages, judging whether the response of the master station is correct or not; if the messages are downlink messages, judging whether the response of the slave station is correct or not; if the incorrect response times of the master station or the incorrect response times of the slave station exceeds 5 times, sending a warning signal; and if the response of the master station and / or the slave station is correct, storing the corresponding uplink messages and / or downlink messages. According to the method, the incorrect response times of the master station or the incorrect response times of the slave station are respectively accumulated, when the incorrect times exceeds 5 times, the warning signal is sent; a monitoring worker can timely search and process device faults according to the warning signal; bad effects such as network congestion can be avoided; and the monitoring method can be used for solving the technical problem that the device faults cannot be fed back timely in the prior art.
