The helicopter rotor airfoil is characterized in that the upper surface of the airfoil is convex outwards, the lower surface of the airfoil is concave upwards, and the outer surface of the airfoil is composed of an S1 section, an S2 section, an S3 section, an S4 section and an S5 section, wherein the S1 section and the S5 section are trailing edge contraction sections of the airfoil and the S1 section and the S5 section are closedly connected at the trailing edge position of the airfoil; the S2 section is the upward-concave section of the lower surface of the airfoil and is closedly connected with the S1 section and the S3 section, the leading edge radius of the S3 section is greater than that of an SC1095 type airfoil, and the bending of the mean camber line of the airfoil is greater than that of the SC1095 type airfoil; the S3 section is the leading edge section of the airfoil and is closedly connected with the S4 section; the S4 section is the platform section of the upper surface of the airfoil and is closedly connected with the S5 section.
