The invention discloses a lane change alarm system and method for automobile driving. The lane change alarm system for automobile driving comprises a distance sensor set, a speed detection module, a control module and a lane change alarm module. A preset angle is reserved between the detection direction of the distance sensor set and the automobile tail. The speed detection module is used for reading the current speed. The distance sensor set is used for obtaining the distance between at least one distance sensor and an obstacle in the detection direction. The control module is used for judging whether the distance obtained through the present distance sensor set meets the preset condition or not when the current speed exceeds the preset threshold value, and if yes, the control module controls the lane change alarm module to execute a lane change alarm.
