The method comprises: pre-acquiring a red light signal time period of a detection point traffic light; acquiring a first vehicle picture when appearance of a vehicle is sensed within the red light signal time period, and acquiring a second vehicle picture when the vehicle is sensed to press a stop line; calculating the running speed of the vehicle according to the time difference from appearance to pressing on the stop line and the preset vehicle length; if the running speed is greater than a specified speed, shooting a third vehicle picture; recognizing a license number from the second vehicle picture, synthesizing the first vehicle picture, the second vehicle picture and the third vehicle picture into a vehicle violation picture, and sending the vehicle violation picture, the running speed and the license number to a remote server.
