Abstract

The invention discloses a WiFi-based path loss positioning method and system. The method comprises the following steps of: initiation of a positioning system: acquiring RSSI numerical values of different sites in an induction field and distances from a corresponding mobile terminals to a front-end AP by the system, and calculating a corresponding positioning parameter <lambda>; data acquisition of the positioning system: receiving mobile terminal RSSI acquired by the front-end AP by a data acquisition module, and transmitting the mobile terminal RSSI to a positioning analysis module; positioning analysis of the positioning system: calculating geographic position information of the current mobile terminal by the positioning system according to a formula; data persistence of the positioning system: persistently storing the analyzed geographic position information of the mobile terminal to a database by the positioning system; and error correction of the positioning system: deleting the current positioning parameter <lambda> by the positioning system, re-acquiring mobile terminal sample data in the induction field, and calculating a new positioning parameter <lambda>.
