Abstract

The invention provides a simple network management protocol (SNMP) agent implementation method based on EOC equipment. Since an EOC equipment local side can manage terminal equipment hung on the EOC equipment local side in a unified manner, the SNMP agent implementation method can achieve the reception and analysis of an SNMP message and the acquisition and transmission of target information just by means of one simple network management protocol agent, data transmission between two submodules (a master agent and a subagent) does not exist, and data does not need to undergo format transformation when being transmitted within a network node, thereby reducing system load of the EOC equipment; further, since the data transmission and data transformation between the master agent and the subagent do not exist, the storage space of generated executable files is reduced, the system load of the EOC equipment is further reduced, and the response speed of the SNMP is further accelerated; in addition, the SNMP agent implementation method presets an operating function according to node information in an SMI configuration file, so as to improve information interaction efficiency of an NMS and the network node, and further accelerate the response speed of the SNMP.
