Abstract

The invention provides a message forwarding method and device. The method is applied to AP equipment, and comprises the following steps of: when first STA equipment roams to the AP equipment, obtaining the first MAC address of the first STA equipment, sending a request message carrying the first MAC address to the AC equipment, receiving a response message carrying a first VLAN identifier returned by the AC equipment, and keeping the corresponding relationship of the first MAC address and the first VLAN identifier; and, when a data message from the first STA equipment is received, judging whether the MAC address corresponding to the first VLAN identifier includes the MAC address carried in the data message or not, and if so, sending the data message. By means of the message forwarding method and device disclosed by the invention, pressure on the AC equipment cannot be caused; and the communication capability of a wireless network is ensured.
