Abstract

The invention provides a thermal deformation error compensation method for an articulated-type coordinate measuring machine, and the method comprises the following steps: 1), building a mathematic mode of the impact on structural parameters of the articulated-type coordinate measuring machine from temperature; 2), placing the articulated-type coordinate measuring machine in a constant temperature room with the adjustable temperature, wherein the room temperature is set as 15 DEG C for 2 hours; 3), measuring a designed dedicated calibration plate through the articulated-type coordinate measuring machine; 4), adjusting the temperature of the constant temperature room to 20 DEG C for two hours, and then carrying out the measurement of the calibration plate again; 5), continuing to increase the temperature, and carrying out measurement tests at intervals of 5 DEG C till the temperature rises to 40 DEG C; 6), calculating the errors of each group of data according to a nominal value of the dedicated calibration plate, and calibrating the structural parameters under each temperature through a self-calibration method for the structural parameters of the articulated-type coordinate measuring machine; 7), measuring the calibration plate again in the constant temperature room under different temperature gradients, so as to verify a compensation result of f(T).
