The method comprises the following steps of during a photo browsing process, if the intelligent television determines that duration of stay of a focal point in a screen at an icon of any photo reaches a setting threshold, acquiring a thumbnail of a photo corresponding to the icon where the focal point is stayed currently and displaying; and according to a position change of the focal point, predicting a next moving direction of the focal point, and acquiring the thumbnails of the photos with a set number at a next moving direction of the focal point and carrying out buffer memory. Under the condition that system resource consumption is reduced as much as possible, thumbnail display of the photo selected by a user can be rapidly realized; and based on continuity of user operation, through known movement of the focal point, next operation prediction is performed and the thumbnail to be displayed is acquired.
