The mobile terminal antenna comprises a first metal frame of the mobile terminal, wherein a first gap and a second gap are reserved between the first metal frame and a second metal frame of the mobile terminal, and between the first metal frame and a third metal frame of the mobile terminal respectively; the lengths of the second metal frame and the third metal frame are longer than that of the first metal frame, and the second metal frame and the third metal frame are positioned on the same side of the first metal frame and perpendicular to the first metal frame separately; the first metal frame is provided with a first wiring point connected with a first switch and a second wiring point connected with a second switch; and the first switch and the second switch are used for enabling the first wiring point and the second wiring point to be connected with a grounding point or a transceiving end on a mobile terminal main board in a switchable manner, so as to switch the first wiring point and the second wiring point to be used as a ground point or a feed point of the mobile terminal antenna. By adoption of the mobile terminal antenna and the control method and apparatus therefor, the problem that signal transceiving is influenced when the gaps are connected can be solved under the premise of not increasing the quantity of the mobile terminal antennas, so that the mobile terminal antenna is simple in structure.
