Abstract

A curvilinear metal conveying device having a support and compression assembly that helps to maintain a constant on the metal casing and refractory of the conveying device as the casing and refractory expand and contract due to temperature fluctuations force. In one embodiment, the support assembly is configured to apply a force to the refractory material to hold the refractory material in tension with the casing to suspend the refractory material relative to the casing.
