Abstract

The invention provides a transportation system, vehicles and a control method thereof. The transportation system comprises a trunk road, branch-line roads and ramps. The trunk road is used for automatic driving of the marshalling vehicles forming marshalling queues, the branch-line roads are used for manual driving of the un-marshalling vehicles, and the ramps are used for being connected with the trunk road and the branch-line roads. The un-marshalling vehicles enter the trunk road through the ramps and enter the marshalling queues under the states of automatic driving. The marshalling vehicles leave the marshalling queues under the states of automatic driving and enter the branch-line roads through the ramps. In the marshalling queues, the multiple marshalling vehicles make direct contact with one another or keep small intervals with one another so as to enable the distances between the marshalling vehicles to be roughly constant. According to the marshalling queues of the transportation system, random doubling of the vehicles is reduced, and thus traffic management efficiency is improved.
