Embodiment 1 7

[0009] Example 1 Antispasmodic effect of sodium aescinate on isolated gastric fundus tissue strips of rats with spasm induced by Ach

[0010] Muscle spasm is a spontaneous forced contraction of muscles, the main manifestation is the increase of muscle tension, so muscle tension is selected as the experimental detection index. The isolated rat gastric fundus tissue strip test method was used to observe the antispasmodic effect of sodium aescinate on the isolated gastric fundus tissue strips of Ach (acetylcholine)-induced spasm in rats. Ach can obviously excite the smooth muscle of the gastrointestinal tract, causing it to contract Increased tension to induce spasm of gastric smooth muscle.

[0011] Wistar rat, weighing 250-300g, for both sexes. Take the rats hungry for 48 hours, quickly open the abdominal cavity and take out the stomach immediately after being sacrificed. Cut off the stomach base, cut the stomach cavity along the small curve of the stomach, remove the food residue ...

Embodiment 2 7

[0015] Example 2 Clinical observation of sodium aescinate in the treatment of acute gastrointestinal spasm

[0016] Emergency patients with acute upper abdomen and periumbilical colic were selected as candidates. All patients were diagnosed as one of the following diseases through physical examination and auxiliary examination, namely acute gastroenteritis, chronic colitis, peptic ulcer, acute intestinal obstruction, and at the same time It can rule out abdominal pain caused by coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, surgery, gynecology and other systemic diseases. A total of 60 cases, the above cases were randomly divided into 2 groups, 30 cases in the treatment group, 30 cases in the control group, the two groups are comparable in age and gender.

[0017] The treatment group received oral aescinate sodium tablets 0.1g, 2 times a day; the control group received oral atropine tablets 0.6 mg, 2 times a day. Both groups of patients took the medicine for 7 days to evaluate the effic...

Abstract

The invention discloses novel pharmaceutical application of sodium aescinate and in particular discloses application of sodium aescinate in preparation of spasmolysis medicines for treating gastrointestinal smooth muscle spasm. The sodium aescinate has an obvious tension reduction effect on gastric tissue spasm caused by acetyl choline and can be used for treatment of diseases caused by gastrointestinal smooth muscle spasm such as acute gastroenteritis, colonitis, peptic ulcer, acute intestinal obstruction and the like. The clinical tests prove that the sodium aescinate has an obvious effect of treating gastric and intestinal colic caused by smooth muscle spasm, the total effective rate reaches 96.7%, and compared with atropine, the sodium aescinate does not have any obvious curative effect difference while is small in side effects.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a new pharmaceutical use of sodium aescinate, in particular to a new use in preparing antispasmodic drugs for treating gastrointestinal smooth muscle spasm. Background technique [0002] Aescin, also known as aescinic acid, is a general term for total saponins, β-escin, or isoscin, which are extracted from the seeds of Aesculus, Aesculus, belonging to the triterpene saponins. Aescin has poor water solubility. To increase its solubility, it is often made into sodium salt. [0003] Oral or injection of sodium aescinate is often used clinically to treat brain edema caused by various reasons and concomitant brain dysfunction, inflammation and swelling caused by various reasons (such as trauma, burns, surgery), and venous reflux disorders. It has strong anti-inflammatory and anti-exudation effects. [0004] Gastrointestinal spasm is one of the medical emergencies, mostly caused by strong contraction of gastrointestinal smooth muscl...
