The equalization charging device comprises multiple charging units and multiple battery monitoring units in electrical connection. According to the battery module charging method by using the same, a charger is firstly used for carrying out serial charging on at least one battery module, and the power of at least one battery core in the battery module reaches a preset standard value; the equalization charging device and the battery module are then connected, and the multiple battery monitoring units are used for monitoring the power of each battery core respectively; and according to different power of each battery core, the multiple battery monitoring units control the multiple charging units to charge each corresponding battery core respectively. Thus, each battery core can be fully charged in an equalization mode.
