Microprocessor 102 is separated from FPGA 104 by electrical isolation 106 . The electrical isolation device 106 is coupled to a transformer 108 that electrically couples the microprocessor 102 to the FPGA 104 . Microprocessor 102 is coupled to transformer 108 via connection 1A and to FPGA 104 via connection 1B. The side of the galvanic isolation device 106 including the FPGA 104 and other components constitutes the analog portion of a conventional vehicle measurement device 100 .
