Abstract

Embodiments of the invention disclose a method and equipment for generating virtual cell identity. The method comprises the following steps of forming a corresponding virtual cell for user equipment in a macro cell; generating the virtual cell identity for the virtual cell; and keeping the virtual cell identity when the virtual cell and the user equipment keep connected.
