The winding machinery state diagnosis method comprises steps of collecting noise signals and current signals of a transformer at two different operation times, calculating a transfer function according to an auto-power spectrum of noise signals and the current signals of the transformer at the two different times, selecting an appointed frequency band to calculate amplitude frequency characteristic correlation coefficients of the transfer function at two different operation times according to the transfer functions of the two different operation times, performing matching on the amplitude frequency characteristic correlation coefficients and a preset diagnosis rule table, and outputting a matched winding machinery state diagnosis result, wherein the diagnosis rule table comprises a value interval of the amplitude frequency characteristic correlation coefficients and a corresponding winding machinery state diagnosis result. The winding machinery state diagnosis based on the transformer noise comprises a program module corresponding to the winding machinery state diagnosis method. The winding machinery state diagnosis method and system of the invention do not contact with live equipment, have high safety, do not affect normal operation of the equipment and are easy and flexible in testing.
