Abstract

The invention discloses a phase shift signal modulation based sensor array modulation and demodulation method and device. The device includes a laser light source, an isolator, an optical switch, a phase modulator, an optical add-drop multiplexer, sensors, a delay optical fiber, a signal generator, a photovoltaic detector, a data collection and processing module and a micro-vibration table. The light source generates optical pulses through the optical switch and the optical pulses are subjected to pulse phase modulation and are then sent into the sensor array. Laser pulses of corresponding wavelengths are selected by the optical add-drop multiplexer and are allowed into sensors. Generation of multi-channel phase shift signals is achieved at output terminals. Then interference signals with vibration phase information are merged into the photovoltaic detector. Through calibrating the multi-channel signals and with the association of a phase shift algorithm, vibration phase demodulation of the optical fiber sensors are realized. The method provided by the invention is simple in optical paths, simple in demodulation circuits, high in real time performance, high in precision, wide in dynamic range, high in anti-environment interference, low in device use and low in cost.
