Abstract

The present invention relates to a head assembly for a beverage preparation device for preparing a nutritional composition upon interaction of ingredients provided in a capsule with a liquid supplied to said capsule, said assembly comprising a Capsule opening means (10) interacting with the injection surface of said capsule, said opening means comprising liquid injection means (1) for injecting liquid into said capsule and gas injection means for injecting gas into said capsule (2) Activation means (20) designed to interact with said opening means and to move said liquid injection means and said gas injection means relative to said injection face of said capsule.
