Embodiment Construction

[0026] figure 1 A schematic diagram of device 100 for vehicle 115 to detect use of electronic device 105 by driver 110 is shown according to an exemplary embodiment.

[0027]The device 100 has an interface 117 , a comparison unit 118 and a detection mechanism 119 . Interface 117 is designed to read in at least one sensor signal 120 representing at least one current parameter 125 of electronic device 105 in vehicle 115 and / or of driver 110 . Comparing unit 118 is designed to compare sensor signal 120 with at least one stored usage signal 135 , which represents the use of electronic device by driver 110 while driving with vehicle 115 . 105 use. Detection device 119 is then designed to output a detection signal 140 for detecting the use of electronic device 105 if a predetermined relationship exists between sensor signal 120 and use signal 135 .

[0028] According to this exemplary embodiment, interface 117 is designed to read in sensor signal 120 as an image signal provided b...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for detecting a utilization of an electronic device by a driver, for a vehicle. The method includes a reading-in step in which at least one sensor signal is read in via an interface to a sensor disposed in the vehicle, the sensor signal representing at least one current parameter of the electronic device and/or of the driver in the vehicle. The method furthermore includes a comparing step in which the sensor signal is compared with at least one stored utilization signal that represents a utilization of the electronic device by the driver while driving the vehicle. The method further includes an outputting step in which a detection signal is outputted if a predetermined correlation exists between the sensor signal and the utilization signal, in order to indicate the detected utilization of the electronic device.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method and a device for a vehicle to detect the use of an electronic device by a driver. The subject of the invention is also a computer program. Background technique [0002] The use of electronic devices, such as mobile phones, while driving may increase the risk of an accident by more than 20 times. Who is driving on the road at speed 100 and not paying attention for only a second, such as driving 27m in a blind flight (Blindflug). This distance is long enough to, for example, crash into a tree. As the Dekra (German Motor Vehicle Supervisory Association) poll has already shown, every fifth motorist uses his mobile phone while driving. In order to avoid the mentioned hazards, it is necessary to deactivate all functions of electrical equipment impairing traffic safety while driving. Contents of the invention [0003] Against this background, the solution presented here is used to describe a method for a vehicle...
