The method can rapidly delete nodes and road segments out of the user-defined range needing to be researched, and finally obtain OSM road network data inside the user-defined polygonal region. At present, the road network region exported from the OSM data can only be rectangular, the user can define the polygonal research region, nodes and road networks outside the user-defined polygonal region are rapidly and automatically deleted, the extra time and workloads generated by analyzing the OSM data within the rectangular range and then manually deleting the nodes and the road segments outside the region are reduced, and meanwhile mistakes possibly generated by manual operation in the process can be avoided.
