Abstract

The invention discloses a seabed poly-metallic sulfide ore excavating device and an application method thereof. The excavating device comprises bottom frames, a longitudinal moving frame, a horizontal moving frame and an excavating system, wherein two sets of bottom frames are arranged in parallel; the horizontal moving frame is connected between the two bottom frames; the longitudinal moving frame is connected with the horizontal moving frame; the longitudinal moving frame is capable of changing the longitudinal position by moving along the horizontal moving frame; the horizontal moving frame is capable of changing the horizontal position by moving relative to the bottom frames; the excavating system is up and down flexibly connected with the longitudinal moving frame; the mining of a mining head along the length direction of the ore is realized by the movement of the longitudinal moving frame; the mining of the mining head along the width direction of the ore is realized by the movement of the horizontal moving frame; and the mining of the whole ore area is completed through repeated longitudinal and horizontal mining. The seabed poly-metallic sulfide ore excavating device is capable of stably walking on uneven ore surface and effectively mining the ore with large local difference.
