Abstract

This air conditioner is provided with: an air conditioner casing (5) which houses a refrigeration cycle circuit having a compressor, a condenser, and an evaporator, and which can be installed on a luggage carrier (3) behind a rider of a two-wheeled vehicle; and a duct (11) for discharging conditioned air, which has been generated by the refrigeration cycle circuit within the air conditioner casing(5), to outside of the air conditioner casing (5), the duct (11) having an opening (11a) facing the back of the rider. Conditioned air discharged from the duct (11) is thereby sucked into an eddy current that is formed on the back-surface area of the back of the rider due to the traveling of the two-wheeled vehicle; therefore, the consumed energy is accordingly reduced, and power consumption canbe minimized.
