Abstract

The invention provides a method for improving the color cast of an LCD, and the LCD. The method comprises the steps: adjusting the white balance of a white color through a white balance processing module, enabling the gray scales of the red, green and blue colors corresponding to the 255 gray scale of the actual white color to be less than 255, enabling the gray scales of the red, green and blue colors corresponding to the zero gray scale of the actual white color to be greater than zero, reserving the margins of the gray scales of the red, green and blue colors and the margin of the gray scale of the actual white color, generating a color cast compensation data look-up table according to the actual display conditions of the LCD through employing a color cast compensation module and combining with the margins, reserved by the white balance processing module, of the gray scales of the red, green and blue colors and the gray scale of the actual white color, enabling the color cast compensation module to look up the actual output gray scale of each subpixel in a current image frame in the color cast compensation data look-up table. The method can achieve the compensation for the changes between any gray scales, and can effectively improve the color cast of the LCD.
