The invention discloses an SMT material band end part processing apparatus for separating a cover band on the end part of an SMT material band from a material band body; the processing apparatus comprises a seat frame, a material band track, a material feeding mechanism and a separating mechanism arranged on the seat frame; the separating mechanism comprises a bracket arranged on the seat frame, aseparating rotary wheel which is arranged on the bracket and can be rotationally arranged above the material band track in the axial direction thereof, and a power apparatus for driving the separating rotary wheel to rotate; and rotation of the separating rotary wheel can extrude the material band end part on the material band track to enable the cover band end part and the material band body tobe separated. By virtue of the SMT material band end part processing apparatus, before two rolls of the material bands are glued, the end part of the last roll of the material band is processed firstly to enable the cover band on the end part to be separated from the material band body. According to material collecting equipment equipped with the processing apparatus, the two rolls of the materialbands can be glued by using the material collecting equipment; and in the use process, the cover band of one row of the material band can be stripped from the material band body smoothly under the driving of the material collecting band, thereby improving production efficiency.
