The method comprises: when a server positions a group, the server multicasts a positioning request to position information providers of group members of the group according to a pre-stored positioning multicast address of the group, the positioning multicast address comprising address information of the position information providers of the group members of the group, and the positioning request being used for requesting to acquire address information of the group members of the group; and the server receives the address information returned by the position information providers of the group members of the group.
