Abstract
The present invention relates to electrical appliances, structures of such appliances having panels and methods of manufacturing such structures. An appliance in the form of a dishwasher (11) or refrigerator for installation in a kitchen has on the front side a door (13) of substantially full surface area for opening purposes and a front to be fitted flush to said door panel (30). A display device (17) with an illuminated display (18) is arranged on the door (13), wherein at least a part of the display device protrudes beyond the front side of the door (13). A recess (32) is provided in the panel (30) in a manner corresponding to the protruding portion of the display device (17), such that said portion is arranged in said recess. A film in the form of a laminate is then glued over the entire surface area of the door, wherein the film has a transparent design in such a way that the illuminated display (18) shines through the film and is recognizable in the activated state .
