no. 1 Embodiment approach

[0034] [explanation of the structure]

[0035] Such as Figure 1A-1E The illustrated exhaust pipe 1 of the first embodiment is mounted on a vehicle. The exhaust pipe 1 discharges exhaust gas from the engine of the vehicle to the outside. The exhaust pipe 1 is connected to the muffler 2 and allows the exhaust gas to flow down toward the muffler 2 . Hereinafter, the upstream side in the exhaust gas flow path is simply referred to as the upstream side, and the downstream side in the exhaust gas flow path is simply referred to as the downstream side.

[0036] The exhaust pipe 1 has a cylindrical shape as an example, and is installed on the bottom of the vehicle. However, the exhaust pipe 1 may have a shape other than the cylindrical shape. In addition, the exhaust pipe 1 may also be provided at a location other than the bottom of the vehicle.

[0037] The exhaust pipe 1 has three sections of a bent portion 10 , an upstream portion 20 , and a connecting portion 30 . In additi...

no. 2 Embodiment approach

[0061] [explanation of the structure]

[0062] The structure of the bent portion in the exhaust pipe of the second embodiment is different from that of the exhaust pipe 1 of the first embodiment. Below, refer to Figure 2A-2C The configuration of the bending portion 40 of the second embodiment will be described.

[0063] Like the first embodiment, the curved portion 40 has a bent shape, and has the same bottom section 40a and inclined section 40b as the first embodiment. In addition, the bending part 40 has the partition part 41 similar to 1st Embodiment. As in the first embodiment, the partition part 41 partitions the space inside the bent part 40 into a non-clogged flow path 42 and another flow path 43 . However, the structure of the part located in the bottom section 40a of the partition part 41 differs from 1st Embodiment.

[0064] The partition part 41 of the bottom section 40a is a flat plate-shaped part which has a groove part. The groove portion is provided at the...

no. 3 Embodiment approach

[0074] [explanation of the structure]

[0075] The structure of the bent portion in the exhaust pipe of the third embodiment is different from that of the exhaust pipes of the first and second embodiments. Below, refer to Figure 3A-3D The configuration of the bending portion 50 of the third embodiment will be described.

[0076] Like the first and second embodiments, the curved portion 50 has a bent shape, and has the same bottom section 50a and inclined section 50b as those of the first and second embodiments. Furthermore, the bent portion 50 has a partition portion 51 . Similar to the first and second embodiments, the partition part 51 partitions the space inside the bending part 50 into a non-clogged flow path 52 and another flow path 53 . However, the shape, arrangement position, etc. of the partition portion 51 are different from those of the first and second embodiments.

Abstract

Provided is an exhaust pipe having a bend and a partition and allows the exhaust gas of the engine of a vehicle to flow down therethrough toward the outside. The bend has a bottom section in which the exhaust gas flows down along a reference surface, and a sloped section in which the exhaust gas flows down from one end of the bottom section in a direction tilted upward relative to the reference surface. The partition divides an exhaust gas flow passage within the bend into a non-closed flow passage extending across the entire length of the bend, and into another flow passage. Also, the bottom section-side end of the bend is defined, referred to as a lower end, and the sloped section-side end of the bend is defined, referred to as an upper end. The non-closed flow passage is disposed such that, at the lower end, the non-closed passage is located closer to the upper side wall of the bend than the lower side wall thereof. In the bottom section, the partition forms the bottom surface of the non-closed flow passage, and the lower end side of the partition has a sloped section tilted downward relative to the reference surface.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to an exhaust pipe that downwardly flows exhaust gas from an engine of a vehicle. Background technique [0002] An exhaust pipe of a vehicle may have a bent portion, and the bent portion has a horizontal section and an upwardly inclined section. In addition, if the above-mentioned vehicle is parked in an inclined state, the intersection of the horizontal section and the inclined section may be located below the above-mentioned sections. At this time, if the water vapor contained in the exhaust gas flowing down through the exhaust pipe condenses, the condensed water may accumulate in the intersecting portion, and the intersecting portion may be completely blocked. [0003] In contrast, in the exhaust pipe of Patent Document 1, the inside of the bent portion is divided into an upper flow path and a lower flow path. Accordingly, the condensed water flowing into the bent portion flows into the lower flow path more easily th...
