Abstract

The invention provides a method and device for determining the windward angle of a wind turbine generator system. The method includes the steps of (A) obtaining the real-time pneumatic power value ofthe wind turbine generator system; (B) calculating the windward angle effective value of the wind turbine generator system based on the obtained real-time pneumatic power value; and (C) determining the windward angle of the wind turbine generator system based on the calculated windward angle effective value. According to the method and device, the windward angle of the wind turbine generator system can be determined conveniently and accurately, and addition of any hardware equipment is not needed.
