Abstract

The unread message processing method comprises the steps of obtaining a first application icon which has an application of an unread message if a first touch operation which is input by a user and is used for controlling displaying of the unread message is received; displaying the first application icon at a first preset position, wherein identifier information of the unread message is displayed on the first application icon; and if a second touch operation aiming at a first target application icon is received, performing corresponding treatment on the second touch operation for the unread message which corresponds to the first target application icon, wherein the target application icon is one or multiple ofthe first application icons. As all the first application icons having unread messages are placed at the first position for displaying through the first touch operation, the unread message can be subjected to corresponding processing through detecting the second touch operation input by the user. Therefore, the embodiment can simplify the operational difficulty in processing the unread messages.
