An improved door handle assembly (10) features integral sound attenuating flaps. The integral sound attenuating flap feature incorporates double hinged flaps (52) integrated together. This double hinged flap (52) dampens vibrations while adjusting for vertical movement and does not require any pivot pins or other retaining components.
