Abstract

The invention discloses a generated cluster head selection method for a large-scale self-organizing wireless communication clustering network. A superior cluster head divides cluster members into k categories according to communication quality of the cluster members and carries out statistics on the number of the cluster members in each category. The superior cluster head gives a selection weightto each category of cluster members, and calculates a selected probability of each category according to the selection weight of each category of cluster members and the number of the cluster membersin each category. The superior cluster head randomly selects one category according to the calculated selected probabilities, and then selects one cluster member from the category according to the equal probability as a temporary sub cluster head. After the temporary sub cluster head is selected out, the number of members of the category to which the temporary sub cluster head belongs is reduced by one. The steps B3 to B5 are repeated, and a new temporary sub cluster head is selected, until the number of the temporary sub cluster heads which can be generated in a current period reaches an upper limit or no cluster member can be used for selection. The superior cluster head determines whether the selected temporary sub cluster heads can become formal sub cluster heads, and updates the numbers of the temporary sub cluster heads, formal cluster heads and the cluster members.
