Abstract

The method comprises the following steps: (1) obtaining a size matrix and a user demand matrix of some popular videos according to the user historical request information; (2) using the genetic algorithm to give a caching strategy of these videos; (3) when the request arrives, directly taking fromthe local cache region if the video is in the local cache region, and downloading from the neighboring node or remote server if not; and (4) calculating the total delay for each request to obtain an optimization of the delay after the cache.
