The method comprises the steps of: acquiring indication information and session identifier information, wherein the indication information is used for indicating that switching of a user plane data transmission path needs to be carried out, and the session identifier information is used for indicating a session which needs to be subjected touser plane data transmission path switching; based on the session identifier information, determining a PDU session and a PDN connection associated with the PDU session, wherein the PDN connection and the PDU session are established by the UE on the basis of the same APN or DNN; and based on the indication information, carrying out switching on the user plane data transmission path between the PDU session and the PDN connection.
