The portable printer comprises a cover body, wherein the upper side of the cover body is rotationally connected with a cover plate through a rotating shaft;a lifting handle is fixedly connected to the upper side of the cover plate; a fixing mechanism is arranged on the lower side of the cover plate; a placement plate is connected to the interior of thecover body through a plurality of buffer mechanisms; a plurality of first sliders are fixedly connected to each of two sides of the placement plate; first chutes corresponding to the first sliders areformed in the inner wall of the cover body; two symmetrically arranged mounting racks are fixedly connected to the upper side of the placement plate; and a printer is arranged between the two mounting racks. Through cooperation of buffer racks, first springs, slide plates and buffer rods, all of which are arranged below the placement plate, when the placement plate moves downwards, the buffer rods can be driven to move so as to drive the slide plates to compress the first springs.
