Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a link fault detection method and device, and relates to the technical field of communication. The problem is solved that the business is interrupted caused bythe detection method of the link faults in the prior art. The method comprises the steps of: performing BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection) for a target tunnel in a target tunnel set by an ingress node, if a target tunnel fault is determined through the BFD, performing BFD for a tunnel without BFD in the target tunnel set, and if the BFD detects that the target tunnel set has tunnels havingno faults, determining access of a routing between the ingress node and an egress node by the ingress node; and if the BFD detects that all the tunnels in the target tunnel set have faults, determining that the routing between the ingress node and an egress node is not access by the ingress node.
