The load balancing method for the monitoring server ina specific embodiment includes: monitoring a processing request received from a terminal and forwarded by an overload server in a server cluster; determining whether a preset light load condition issatisfied, wherein the preset light load condition includes that the load of each server is lower than the preset light load threshold of the corresponding server; in response to determining that thepreset light load condition is satisfied, determining the load margin information of each server according to the load of each server; and transmitting the determined load margin information to a terminal in order that the terminal transmits the processing request according to the received load margin information. The embodiment enriches the load balancing way.
